Toronto FC News Release
Toronto FC announced Thursday that the club has sent defender Ryan Richter on loan to NASL club, Ottawa Fury FC. As per club and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Ryan is a player with great character and provides depth to our defence. However, with positional depth it can become difficult to find the opportunity for match minutes=FD," said Toronto FC General Manager Tim Bezbatchenko. "Ryan needs match minutes and we felt this loan will be of great benefit for him and for the club."
Richter, 25, has been named into the 18-man squad seven times this season between MLS league play and the Amway Canadian Championship. He originally signed on March 25, 2013 and has since made 15 appearances, adding one assist for Toronto FC in all competitions.
