
Chivas USA Waive Forward Matthew Fondy

Club Deportivo Chivas USA News Release
CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, June 26, 2014) - Chivas USA announced today that the club has waived forward Matthew Fondy. The 24-year-old joined the Red-and-White in the summer of 2013 and appeared in seven Major League Soccer matches after making his professional debut on Sept. 4, 2013 at Seattle Sounders FC. Fondy appeared in one game this season, logging 19 minutes against Vancouver Whitecaps FC on March 16.
Chivas USA return to League action on Saturday after a two-week break when they host the defending champions of the Western Conference, Real Salt Lake, at the StubHub Center. Scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. (PT), the match will be broadcast live on Time Warner Cable Deportes and can be heard on ESPN Deportes Radio KWKU 1220 AM.
