
Toronto FC II Acquire Ingham and Hodge on Loan

Toronto FC II announced Friday that the club has acquired FC Edmonton goalkeeper Nathan Ingham and W Connection F.C. defender Triston Hodge on loan. As per club and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. Hodge will be added to the roster upon receipt of his work permit and visa.
"Improving our defence is a top priority for our push to the playoffs," said Toronto FC II Head Coach Jason Bent. "Bringing in Nathan and Triston will add depth to our roster and helps to solidify our defensive group."
Ingham, 23, most recently signed with FC Edmonton of the North American Soccer League (NASL) during the 2016 off-season. Prior to signing with FC Edmonton, Ingham spent the 2015 season with Kitchener-Waterloo United Football Club (K-W United FC) of the USL Premier Development League (PDL). He helped K-W United FC capture the 2015 PDL North American Championship during the playoffs. He was named Tournament MVP and led all keepers in the PDL with 11 wins during the regular season. Ingham spent five seasons (redshirt year as a junior in 2013) at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). He appeared in 63 matches with a record of 30-19-11 and 26 clean sheets for FGCU. During his collegiate career he helped guide the Eagles to three A-Sun Tournament titles and three NCAA Tournament appearances. Ingham is a two-time Atlantic Sun First Team member and two-time A-Sun Tournament MVP. He was also named A-Sun Defensive Player of the Week a record-tying six times.
Hodge, 21, most recently spent time with W Connection F.C. of the TT Pro League and made a combined 16 appearances across league play and the CONCACAF Champions League. Hodge has earned three caps for the Trinidad and Tobago national team. He made his debut with Trinidad and Tobago on March 19, 2016 during a 2-2 draw in a friendly match against Grenada.
