
Toronto FC Announce 2023 Roster Moves

Toronto FC News Release
Toronto FC announced today the roster moves following the conclusion of its 2023 Major League Soccer (MLS) campaign.
Nineteen players are contractually guaranteed for the 2024 season: goalkeeper Sean Johnson; defenders Kobe Franklin, Shane O'Neill, Raoul Petretta, Sigurd Rosted, Luke Singh; midfielders Latif Blessing, Jahkeele Marshall Rutty, Jonathan Osorio, Brandon Servania, and attackers Ayo Akinola, Federico Bernardeschi, Adama Diomande, Lorenzo Insigne, Deandre Kerr, Cassius Mailula, Hugo Mbongue, Prince Owusu and Jordan Perruzza.
Toronto FC has exercised the contract options on goalkeeper Luka Gavran and midfielder Alonso Coello Camarero.
TFC declined the 2024 contract options for goalkeepers Greg Ranjitsingh and Tomás Romero, defender Themi Antonoglou, midfielder Víctor Vázquez and forward CJ Sapong.
Defender Cristian Gutierrez will be out of contract at the end of the year. In addition, the loan deal for midfielder Franco Ibarra will expire at the end of the year.
The club retains a 2024 contract option for defender Aimé Mabika and remain in discussions.
Midfielder Kosi Thompson is on loan with Norwegian club Lillestrøm SK until the end of the 2023 season, and Lillestrøm SK has the option to exercise a permanent transfer for 2024.
Midfielder Michael Bradley announced his retirement in October 2023.
