
Ten TFC Academy Players Named to Canada Roster for 2023 Fifa U-17 World Cup

Canada Soccer announced today that 10 Toronto FC Academy players have been named to the Canada Men's U-17 National Team for the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup. The 19th edition of the tournament will run from Friday, November 10 to Saturday, December 2, 2023 in Indonesia.
Led by Head Coach Andrew Olivieri, the roster features 21 players from nine clubs, with 10 coming from the TFC Academy, including Nathaniel Abraham, Richard Chukwu, Philip Igbinobaro, Dominic Kantorowicz, Tyler Londono, Alexander O'Brien, Chimere Omeze, Lucas Ozimec Theo Rigopoulos and Lazar Stefanovic (Toronto FC II).
Canada will face Spain on Friday, November 10 (8 a.m. ET) and Uzbekistan on Monday, November 13 (8 a.m. ET) before concluding Group B action against Mali on Thursday, November 16 (5 a.m. ET). The top two finishers in each group, along with the four best third-placed teams advance to the Round of 16. Following that, the tournament will feature a knockout bracket to the tournament Final.
