Tornadoes Name Saint Vincent Hospital Official Health Care Provider

Worcester, MA (June 24, 2005) - The Worcester Tornadoes today announced the selection of Saint Vincent Hospital as the team's official sports medicine provider for the 2005 season, according to Tornadoes president and CEO Alan Stone. As the Tornadoes official health care provider, Saint Vincent Hospital will provide team medical care and game day health services. Saint Vincent Hospital will enjoy team co-branding rights as well as a host of other advertising opportunities.

"This is a terrific opportunity to link the preeminent orthopedics programs of Saint Vincent Hospital with one of the most exciting franchises in the Can-Am League," said Stone.

Saint Vincent Hospital is the only hospital in Central Massachusetts to provide Computer Assisted Surgery. CAOS is the latest advancement in joint replacement surgery and provides a degree of accuracy not possible with the naked eye or conventional instruments. "Saint Vincent Hospital's sports health offering is in the forefront of this type of care and was a key element in our decision to select Saint Vincent Hospital," stated Stone.

In support of the agreement, Saint Vincent Hospital has designated Doctor Stephen M. Desio M.D. Sports Medicine and Doctor Peter Lindblad M.D. Internist as the Tornadoes team physicians. They will work with the team's existing training staff to coordinate the care and treatment of the team during its inaugural season.

Dr. Desio earned his medical degree from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center and completed an Orthopedic Surgery residency at New York University Medical Center with a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Utah Medical Center. Dr. Desio is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and President of the Orthopedic Institute of Central Massachusetts, located at the Worcester Medical Center. He focuses his private practice on sports medicine as well as disorders of the shoulder.

Dr. Peter Lindblad is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Massachusetts in Worcester. Dr. Lindblad completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester. He is an Assistant Professor at UMass Medical School practices Internal Medicine at the Worcester Medical Center
