Buffalo Bisons News Release
As the Buffalo Bisons continue to celebrate three decades of great baseball action and family entertainment in downtown Buffalo, the team today announced that Tops Friendly Markets has been named the presenting sponsor of the 30th Season Celebration of Coca-Cola Field .
As part of the agreement, TOPS will present the Bisons signature 30th Season Celebration Game on August 30 as the Herd faces the Pawtucket Red Sox (7:05 p.m.). TOPS will also sponsor the team's three-part Championship Banner Giveaway Series, where the first 3,000 fans in attendance on May 30, July 30 and August 30 receive a banner replica of the Bisons' 1997, 1998 and 2004 league championships. The Herd's fridaynightbash! © game on June 30 will also be presented by TOPS.
Among the in-park and social media elements included in the Tops Friendly Markets 30th Season Celebration is a special TOPS banner hung on the protective netting in left field of Coca-Cola Field. If a Bisons' player hits a home run that strikes the banner during the games on May 30, June 30, July 30 or August 30, one lucky fan in attendance will win a Year Supply of Groceries from their neighborhood Tops Friendly Markets. If the banner is struck with a Bisons home run in any other game this year, one fan will win a $100 TOPS gift card. The first 1,000 fans who join us for the July 13 game will also walk away a free Darryl Talley Bobble Head, courtesy of TOPS, as well.
"We're thrilled to have Tops Friendly Markets serve as our presenting sponsor for such a milestone year at Coca-Cola Field. For years, this ballpark and your neighborhood TOPS have served as the site that fans and shoppers can expect exceptional service and tremendous value," said Mike Buczkowski, Vice President/General Manager of the Bisons.
"TOPS is proud to support our hometown team as they celebrate their 30th season here in Western New York," said Kathy Romanowski, public and media relations specialist for Tops Friendly Markets. "We're committed to our community and partnering with the Bisons as we have for the past four years is a fundamental part of our mission of neighbors helping neighbors."
Other elements to this exciting partnership include a 'Rememeber Whensday' Big Board video feature at all Bisons Wednesday home games, as well as a #ThrowbackThursday look back at great ballpark moments on the Bisons social media channels. Fans can also purchase a special Tops Friendly Markets Celebration Pack, which includes a ticket to the team's marquee events (Star Wars Night, Independence Eve, Superhero Night, 30th Season Celebration and an updated flex ticket) and a Coca-Cola Field replica for only $65.
