'Topes Begin 2012 Home Schedule with Freebie-Filled Weekend

The Albuquerque Isotopes kick off their 2012 home schedule of the team's 10th season this Friday with an eight-game homestand against the Omaha Storm Chasers, Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, and the Iowa Cubs, Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. The opening weekend offers 'Topes fans their first opportunity to see the team live in action and also the chance to partake in some great giveaways including scarves, beanie caps, schedule magnets and team posters.

OPENING NIGHT / ISOTOPES SCARF GIVEAWAY

Come cheer on your 'Topes as The Lab will officially open its gates to fans for the first time of the 2012 season. The first 3,000 fans to see the Isotopes vs. Omaha on Friday, April 13 at 7:05 PM will receive a 'Topes scarf courtesy of Sandia Resort and Casino .

ISOTOPES BEANIE CAP GIVEAWAY

Top off your Isotopes wardrobe with a free beanie cap courtesy of Coca Cola to the first 3,000 fans at the ballpark on Saturday, April 14, as the 'Topes battle the Storm Chasers at 7:05 PM.

NEGRO LEAGUE TRIBUTE DAY / PUBLIC SAFETY DAY / SCHEDULE MAGNET GIVEAWAY

Sunday, April 15 is a game you won't want to miss as the Isotopes salute the greats of both the Negro Baseball League and those who serve and protect the Albuquerque area. Former Negro-Leaguer and former Albuquerque Duke (1951-53), Herb Simpson, will throw out the first pitch and sign autographs throughout the celebration. The first 3,000 fans coming to see the 'Topes square off against Omaha at 1:35 PM will get a free schedule magnet, perfect for the home or office refrigerator, courtesy of Dr. LoPour & Associates DDS.

SCHOOL DAY MATINEE

School kids take over Isotopes Park on Monday, April 16 for another of the team's School Day Matinees. Moms can take the day off from packing the kids' lunch, as the event includes a brown bag sack lunch for all registered students! First pitch against the Storm Chasers is 12:05 PM.

TEAM POSTER GIVEAWAY / ADULT FUN RUN

The first 3,000 fans through the turnstiles on Wednesday, April 18 will be able to forever immortalize the 2012 Isotopes with our team poster giveaway. The 'Topes take on the Iowa Cubs at 6:35 PM, but make sure to stick around after the game to show off your base running skills in the post-game Adult Fun Run.
