Plenty of skill and lots of flash and excitement were on display at the skills competition during the 2012 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game at Prospera Place in Kelowna.
The CHL's Top Prospects put on a great show in front of 5,500 fans at Prospera Place during the skills competition and 3 on 3 Challenge in Kelowna on Tuesday, foreshadowing what is expected to be an intense game on Wednesday night.
There are still about 1,000 tickets available for the Top Prospects Game on Wednesday night.
Rockets defenceman Damon Severson recorded the fourth fastest time in the fastest skater event while Colton Sissons and the rest of the players in the Show-Down Breakaway contest thrilled fans with some exciting and innovative moves.
With the completion of the skills competition at the Top Prospects Game 40 of the best major junior hockey players in the Canadian Hockey League have turned their sites to the game on Wednesday.
Hundreds of NHL scouts and general managers have gathered in Kelowna to watch over the 2012 NHL draft class. The Top Prospects Game is seen as a chance for players to prove themself to scouts. It's what makes for an intense and hard hitting affair.
