
Top Goal Scorer Johan Harju Returns to Admirals from Lightning

TAMPA BAY, Fla. - The Tampa Bay Lightning, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have reassigned forward Johan Harju (har-YOO) to the Admirals, Lightning Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman announced today.
Harju, 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, has played in seven games with the Lightning this season, recording a goal and two points. He has two shots on goal and has averaged 8:01 in ice time. Harju recorded his first NHL point on December 4 against Colorado and notched his first goal in the very next game, December 7 at Calgary.
A native of Overtornea, Sweden, Harju has appeared in 17 games with the Admirals this season in his North American debut, recording 13 goals and 23 points with a plus-7 rating. He leads Norfolk in goals, tied for the lead with three power-play goals and is third overall in points. Harju was named the AHL's Player of the Week for the period ending November 28 after notching six goals and seven points with a plus-5 rating. He also ranks tied for eighth in the league in goals.
He was selected by the Lightning in the sixth round, 167th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
The Admirals return to Scope on Friday and Saturday to battle the Albany Devils. Friday night is Scout Night through the Tidewater Boy Scout Council. The Admirals' Annual Toy Toss will take place Saturday night. Admirals fans are asked to bring new stuffed toys to the game to throw onto the ice after the Admirals score their first goal. The Toy Toss is an official U.S. Marine Corps Toys For Tots event and a Norfolk Holidays In The City Event.
Also on Saturday, Admirals fans will receive the first set of Admirals trading cards and can participate in a post-game skate with the team following the game. A limited number of skates will be available or fans may bring their own skates.
