Saskatoon Blades forward Travis Toomey (Leduc, AB) has been suspended one game by the Western Hockey League for a hit on October 21st against the Regina Pats.
Toomey was assessed a double minor for checking from behind in the first period of Wednesday's game for a hit on Pats forward Matt Strueby.
The third-year Blade will miss tonight's game against the Swift Current Broncos and will be eligible to return in time for tomorrow night's game against the Kamloops Blazers at home.
