Regina Pats News Release

Regina SK ---- Due to unexpected delays in the clean up of the SGI Curling Classic, The Regina Pats announced this afternoon that tonight's WHL regular season game vs. Swift Current has been postponed due to poor ice conditions in the Agridome.

Pats General Manager, Brent Parker: "The circumstances that have led to this decision were completely out of the control of the Regina Pats Hockey Club. The ice surface has been left in an unsafe and dangerous state caused by the malfunction and subsequent breakdown of both zamboni's that are owned by Regina Exhibition Park."

"Our concern over the safety of the players on both teams resulted in us making this decision. We regret any inconvenience that this may cause to our fans and hope that they realize that this was at no fault of the Regina Pats. We also wish to emphasize that while we feel this is the correct decision, it was also a decision made as a last resort," commented Parker.

The game with Swift Current has been re-scheduled to Tuesday, October 26th, beginning at 7:00PM in the Agridome.

Season ticket holders and fans that have purchased tickets in advance of tonight's game will have their tickets honored at any of the remaining Pats regular season home games by redeeming them in person at the Agridome Box Office.

Fans also have the option of receiving a full refund of their ticket purchase from the Agridome Box Office.
