
Tomasec to Represent Slovakia at Hlinka Gretzky Cup

Moose Jaw Warriors import draft pick Andrej Tomasec will be representing his country next week.
Tomasec was named to Team Slovakia for the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, which will be hosted from July 31-Aug. 5 in Trencin, Slovakia and Breclav, Czechia.
The Warriors selected Tomasec with the 48th overall selection in the first round of the 2023 CHL Import Draft earlier this month.
Tomasec had 15 goals and 23 points in 33 games last season with the KooKoo U18 team in Finland.
Team Slovakia will open the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup next Monday against Switzerland. They will face Canada on Tuesday, Aug. 1 and Finland on Wednesday, Aug. 2 to close out the round robin.
The gold and bronze medal games will be played on Saturday, Aug. 5.
