
Tomahawks Defeat Generals, Take 4 of 6 Points

JOHNSTOWN, Penn. - In the final game of a three game home stand, the Johnstown Tomahawks defeated the Northeast Generals, taking 4 of a possible 6 points over the weekend.
Forward Andrew Murphy scored his first goal of the season to tie the game, sending package of underwear flying onto the ice for the Undies Sunday Toss. The underwear will be donated to the local Women's Help Center in Johnstown.
The offense for both teams then went off and a roller coaster of a game broke out. Johnstown broke the tie with a goal from Max Kouznetsov, only to see the Generals answer 35 seconds later. Johnstown again broke the tie in the 3rd period, with Northeast answering 36 seconds later.
Christian Gorscak put in what would be the game winning goal at the 17:58 mark in the 3rd period. The win pushed the Tomahawks into 2nd place in the NAHL East Division with 20 points, overtaking the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights, who have 19 points. The New Jersey Titans remain in 1st place with 24 points.

Looking Ahead:
The Tomahawks will hit the road for a two game series against the Maryland Black Bears on November 1st and 2nd.
Johnstown will then return home for a three game series against the Jamestown Rebels. Thursday, November 7th, is PA Student Council Night, where the Hawks will host Westmont Hilltop high school and guests from a PA Student Council Symposium.
November 8th and 9th are Military Appreciation Weekend. Veterans can receive a free ticket by visiting the 1ST SUMMIT ARENA Box Office and presenting military ID.
Saturday, November 9th is also Scout Night, and the 2nd annual Military Veterans Classic will be played immediately following the Tomahawks vs. Rebels game. The Classic will feature teams of veterans across all branches of America's Armed Forces, with the local Johnstown Generals taking on the Ashburn Veterans.
