Orange County Flyers News Release

VICTORIA, British Columbia (May 28, 2010) -- Today's Orange County Flyers game against the Victoria Seals has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions at Royal Athletic Park. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 5:05pm. Doubleheaders in the Golden Baseball League consist of two 7-inning games with the second game beginning approximately a half-hour after the conclusion of the first game.

According to the Seals, a "build-up of water forming on the playing surface has forced the teams to err on the side of caution and hope for better conditions tomorrow evening."

The Flyers are scheduled to start a duo of Smiths in the doubleheader as right-handers Jesse Smith and Brett Smith will make their second starts of the year on Saturday. Former Major Leaguer Byung-Hyun Kim is scheduled to start the series finale on Sunday.

Orange County (4-1) begins the season with its first 18 games on the road before the team's home opener at The Station at Cal State Fullerton on Tuesday, June 15 against the 2009 defending champion Calgary Vipers. Tickets are available by calling 714-526-8326 or visiting www.OrangeCountyFlyers.com.
