WILSON, N.C. - The Tobs scored a pair of runs in the sixth inning of Saturday night's game as they picked up a 3-2 victory of the HiToms at historic Fleming Stadium.

Wilson (3-4) took their first lead of the game in the last of the sixth inning against the HiToms bullpen, to take a 3-2 advantage. After a single and a walk issued by Matt Dillon (L 2-1) Keith Morrisroe delivered a two-run single and gave the Tobs the lead.

The Tommies had no answer for the Tobs bullpen as John Levin (W, 2-0) worked three scorless innings allowing just two hits with three strikeouts and in the ninth, the HiToms brought the go ahead run to the plate, but Alex Williams flew out to right field to end the game as Tony Wieber (S, 5) struck out a pair of batters to end the game.

Up by a slim one-run margin heading to the third inning, the HiToms (6-2) added to their lead as Jacob Fisher launched a ball over the wall in left field for a long home run to give the HiToms a two-run lead.

That lead didn't last long as the Tobs came storming back to pull to within a run in the last of the third when Ryan Matthews singled to left to bring home Zac Mitchell and bring Wilson to within a run, 2-1. However, that would the only run that JJ Jankowski would allow over his five innings of work as he suffered a no decision.

Following the 3-2 loss, the Tommies are back at historic Finch Field tomorrow at 5:00 as they return to west division play when the Asheboro Copperheads come to town. Following the game, fans will be able to play catch with the HiToms on the field.
