Colorado Eagles News Release

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced today, that forwards Ryan Tobler, Chris Hartsburg and Fraser Filipic have sustained injuries that will keep them out of the lineup. "We will continue to push forward without these important players, and other players will have to pick up the slack," said president, general manager and head coach, Chris Stewart.

Tobler, one of the team's four veteran players, was off to the best start of his career as an Eagle. Through five games, the league's four-time reigning "Best Power Forward" (as determined by the CHL's "Best of the Best" poll), had accumulated eight points (4-4-8) along with registering his 500th professional point and 200th professional goal.

Hartsburg, an all-star last season, had five points through six games (3-2-5) and was tied for the team lead in power play goals (2). He has 50 career goals with the Eagles (in 144 games), playing four of his six professional seasons with Colorado and the other two with the Albany River Rats of the AHL.

Filipic, also off to one of his better starts with the team (1-3-4 in seven games), is known more for his fisticuffs; last season he was voted "Best Fighter" and finished third in voting for "Best Fighter (Pound for Pound)" in the "Best of the Best" poll.
