
Toale Nets Winner in OT as Hawks Bounce Rebels 7-6

JOHNSTOWN - Cameron Hebert and Roman Kraemer each scored two goals and Hunter Toale netted the game winner in a wild 7-6 overtime victory for the Johnstown Tomahawks Friday night at 1st Summit Arena.
Scoring Breakdown:
1st Period Recap
Hunter Toale put the Tomahawks ahead early in the first period when his wrist shot fluttered past Rebels goalie Ryan Keane for his second goal of the season. The power play marker was assisted by Carson Brière.
Jamestown's Noah Finstrom tied the game at 1-1 with a power play marker of his own at the 6:55 mark of the first.
After Rebels forward Sam Anzai forced a turnover, Jake Felker completed the pass for a 2-1 Jamestown lead before the first period closed.

2nd Period Recap
The Tomahawks came charging out of the gates in the second period by tying the game just 1:39 into the frame.
Roman Kraemer finished a centering pass from Christian Gorscak for his eighth of the season.
The Tomahawks worked in the Rebels zone, firing many scoring chances at Keane.
Tomahawks defenseman Austin Friesen broke the 2-2 tie with his third goal of the season at 15:33 of the second period. Brière and Andy Nedeljkovic assisted on the goal.
With 57 seconds remaining in the period, Rebels defenseman Caleb price tied the score at 3-3 .
But the Tomahawks responded 25 seconds later when Brière converted a partial breakaway for his 34th of the year and to give the Tomahawks a 4-3 lead going into the intermission.

3rd Period Recap:
Johnstown increased their lead to 5-3 early in the third when Hebert picked up a Oliver Benwell shot and beat new Rebels goalie Noah West.
The Rebels fought back into the game with three consecutive goals to take the lead 6-5. Antonio Venuto capitalized on the power play for his 13th of the season.
Niki Jasko tied the game at 5-5 with his goal just one minute later.
Jamestown's Jim Glynn gave the Rebels the 6-5 lead late in the third period on the power play.
However, the Tomahawks battled back with a last minute goal by Kraemer to send the game into overtime for the second consecutive game.
Overtime Recap:
Just 1:33 into the overtime period, Sam Solensky slid the puck into the slot for Hunter Toale to bury his second of the season and the game winner for a 7-6 Johnstown win.
