June 14, 2005 - Texas League (TL1)
San Antonio Missions News Release

(San Antonio) The Missions' RF TJ Bohn was named to the Texas League All-Star Team today, June 14, 2005. Bohn leads the team with a .307 batting average, which is tenth in the Texas League. He also has 17 doubles, a triple, four homeruns and 26 RBI over 62 games played this season. Bohn is also fifth in the Texas League in stolen bases with 16. TJ is replacing Ruddy Yan of the Frisco RoughRiders, who had elbow surgery today.

Joining him on the All Star Team will be 3B Jesus Guzman and LHP Bobby Livingston. Jesus Guzman, who is batting .280 with six doubles, three triples, four homeruns and 16 RBI, was named as the starting Third Baseman for the Texas League West Division All-Stars. Livingston is 5-3 with a 2.99 ERA (8th in the Texas League) so far this season and will be pitching for the Texas League West Division team. Former Missions Yuniesky Betancourt and Sean Green were also named as Texas League All-Stars, but have been promoted to Triple-A Tacoma and will not be able participate in this year's festivities.

The Texas League All-Star Game will be played at Dr Pepper/Seven Up Ballpark in Frisco, TX on Tuesday, June 21st at 7 pm. Besides the game itself, which will feature the first ever in-game home run derby contest, the two-day bash also features the All-Star Fan Fest on Monday, June 20th from 6:30 to 9:00 pm.

This event, ripped from the pages of the Super Bowl and Major League Baseball Fan Fests—featuring interactive games, live music, and even an indoor home run derby for fans—will break in the brand new Frisco Conference Center, located adjacent to the Embassy Suites, Frisco.

At 9:15 pm, fans can cross the street to the plaza behind centerfield and listen to live music, enjoy food and drink, and enjoy a fireworks show.

Kids 17 and under get in for FREE while adults pay just $5.

The game is a complete sellout. However, General Admission grass seats are available. Tickets can be purchased at the Dr Pepper/seven Up Ballpark Ticket Office or via TicketMaster.

The All-Star Game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports Southwest. It will also be picked up nationally by other Fox Sports Net affiliates either on a live or delayed basis.
