Trenton Devils News Release

TRENTON, NJ (February 10, 2005) - The Trenton Titans announced on Thursday that they have acquired right wing Michael Chin in exchange for forward Steve Cygan.

Chin, 6'2", 210 lbs, had registered 5 goals, 9 assists and 29 penalty minutes in 40 games with the Pride this season. A second-year pro, Chin spent time with the Cincinnati Cyclones, Dayton Bombers and Greenville Grrrowl during his rookie year, in which he notched 41 points (24g, 17a) in 73 games. The native of Urbandale, Illinois attended the University of Notre Dame and recorded 74 points (24g, 50a) in 140 games during his four seasons with the Fighting Irish.

"This is a move that we feel helps improve this team," said Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Mike Haviland. "Mike brings size and scoring to our front line and he gets around the ice very well."

Cygan leaves the Titans having notched 5 goals, 7 assists and 14 penalty minutes in 39 games. Before signing with the Titans this past off-season, Cygan spent two seasons with the Rockford Ice Hogs of the United Hockey League, where he was named Rookie of the Year in 2002-03.
