Chiefs Make Trade For Pee Dee\'s Leading Scorer

Johnstown, PA- Johnstown Chiefs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Toby O'Brien announced today that they have traded right wing Steve Hildenbrand to the Pee Dee Pride in exchange for center Brian Collins.

Collins, 24, was Pee Dee's leading scorer this season scoring 20 goals and 44 points in 46 games. The 6'1, 205 LBS native of Shrewsbury, Mass. spent the entire 2003-04 season with the Pensacola Ice Pilots, playing in all 72 games scoring 18 goals and 42 points. Prior to turning professional, Collins played four seasons at Boston University where he scored 50 goals and 99 points in 159 career games. Collins was a third round draft pick (87th overall) of the New York Islanders in 1999.

Collins is expected to be in the Chiefs lineup for Saturday night's game at Toledo.

Hildenbrand, 23, had 11 goals and 31 points in 37 games for the Chiefs this season. He was with the Chiefs for the last two and a half seasons where he ranks ninth on the Chiefs all-time games played list (179). Hildenbrand had 50 goals and 144 points in his Johnstown career.

The Chiefs return to home ice on Saturday, February 19th when they host the Dayton Bombers at 7:00 p.m. The game is also the next designated sell-out night sponsored by "Your Neighborhood Ford Store." Wrestling legend George "The Animal" Steele will be in attendance signing autographs. Photos will also be available.
