Trenton Devils News Release
TOLEDO, OH - Andrew Allen's third shutout of the season keyed the Trenton Titans 3-0 victory over the Toledo Storm in front of 5,014 at the Toledo Sports Arena.
With the win the Titans clinched home-ice advantage for their first round match-up with the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
Rick Kowalsky put the Titans up 1-0 at 13:37 of the first period with a turn-around slapshot that squeaked by Toledo goalie Logan Koopmans. Brent Robinson's assist on the play extended his scoring streak to ten games.
At 2:40 of the second period, Kowalsky fired a centering pass into the slot where Robinson one-timed the puck into the net for his twentieth of the season.
The Titans took a 3-0 lead just 3:16 later when Kowalsky picked up a loose puck in the crease and slipped it under Koopmans for his second of the contest.
Allen would stop all 28 shots he faced in record his thirtieth win of the season and helped the Titans notch their season-high six consecutive game on the road.
