Everett Silvertips News Release
EVERETT, Wash. - A slew of late goals propelled the Everett Silvertips past the Seattle Thunderbirds 4-1 at Angel of the Winds Arena Friday night.
Luca Hauf netted the game's first goal on the powerplay at 15:01 in the first period, directing a rebound into a yawning netmouth after a scramble in the crease.
Carter Bear equalized for the Silvertips at 14:08 in the second period by rifling a slapshot over the shoulder of Scott Ratzlaff for his sixth goal of the month and his ninth of the season. Everett would finally break through for the game-winning goal at 15:55, as Eric Jamieson found Julius Miettinen in front of the net for his sixth of the year. Dominik Rymon struck for a breakaway goal just 14 seconds later to give the Silvertips all the cushioning they would need.
Rymon tacked on an empty netter at 18:52 to seal a 4-1 victory. Tyler Palmer stopped 22 of 23 for his eighth win of the campaign.
The Silvertips outshot the Thunderbirds 45-23 in the contest, including 18-6 in the final frame.
