No. 15 Padres prospect middle infielder Max Ferguson transferred from Single-A Lake Elsinore to High-A Fort Wayne (uniform: No. 1)

First baseman / DH Cole Cummings transferred from Single-A Lake Elsinore to High-A Fort Wayne (uniform: No. 3)

Infielder Wyatt Hoffman transferred from Fort Wayne to Lake Elsinore

Outfielder Angel Solarte transferred from Fort Wayne to Lake Elsinore

LAST GAME: The TinCaps lost to the Loons at home Sunday, 11-3. Fort Wayne dropped 5 of 6 in the series. After falling by 1 run, 2 runs twice, and in extra-innings once, the TinCaps allowed 7 runs over the last couple innings Sunday for their largest loss in 3 weeks.

TRANSACTIONS: On Tuesday, the Padres promoted infielders Max Ferguson and Cole Cummings to the TinCaps from the Single-A Lake Elsinore Storm, while infielder Wyatt Hoffman and outfielder Angel Solarte were transferred to Lake Elsinore... Ferguson is San Diego's No. 15 prospect, per MLB.com. He currently leads all players in professional baseball in stolen bases with 51, in 55 tries, across 64 games. The 22-year-old who was drafted last year in the 5th round out of the University of Tennessee helped lead the Storm to a first-half California League South Division title with a .403 on-base percentage. With Lake E, he ... On Sunday, righty reliever Luke Boyd was placed on the Temporary Inactive List.

ROBERT HASSELL: Leads the MWL in average (.311), while ranking 2nd in hits (70), 5th in RBIs (42), 7th in stolen bases (19), 8th in OBP (.375), and 9th in OPS (.859).

LUCAS DUNN: Over last 12 games, since June 14, has slashed .292 / .393 / .417 (.810 OPS) with 4 extra-base hits and 9 RBIs.

BRANDON VALENZUELA: Since May 24, in 23 games, has slashed .268 / .362 / .463 (.825 OPS) with a team-high 4 HR and 15 RBIs. His batting average leads team over that stretch.

COREY ROSIER: Leads the MWL in runs (52), while ranking 2nd in walks (42; 16%), and 4th in both stolen bases (21) and triples (5)... On a season-long 8-game hitting streak since June 18.

CAUGHT 'EM: TinCaps catchers lead the league in throwing out runners trying to steal (26 CS). Individually, Brandon Valenzuela leads with 17, while Anthony Vilar has nabbed 7 of 19, and Adam Kerner has caught 2.

PATIENT: The TinCaps lead the MWL in walks drawn (4.4 per game) and also have struck out the 2nd fewest times in the MWL (8.6 per game)... The Whitecaps ranks 2nd in walks and have struck out the least.

MISCELLANEOUS: The TinCaps are 23-10 when scoring first (70% win rate) and 4-32 when they don't (11%)... Fort Wayne is 6-9 in 1-run games, 4-10 in 2-run games, and 0-2 in extra-innings.

260 TO THE SHOW: Since Fort Wayne's franchise was established in 1993, there have been 206 alumni who've gone on to appear in the major leagues, including 49 this season... Pirates outfielder Jack Suwinski (2017-18) leads MLB rookies in home runs (12), while MacKenzie Gore (2018, '21) ranks among rookies 4th in strikeouts (65)...
