Fort Wayne TinCaps News Release
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Fort Wayne TinCaps, in conjunction with Minor League Baseball, are proud to announce that they were among the Top 25 teams in licensed merchandised sales for the 2011 season. Minor League Baseball annually releases the names of the Top 25 in sales in alphabetical order, and the TinCaps have now been in that group for three consecutive years.
TinCaps fans have a variety of ways to get ahold of their favorite gear, whether it be through The Orchard team store located at Parkview Field, online at TinCaps.com and at the satellite store which operates at the Glenbrook Square Mall during the holiday season.
"It's great to see the enthusiasm that our fans have for the team and for the iconic apple logo that has come to be a sign of the TinCaps all over Fort Wayne," said TinCaps President Mike Nutter. "We're constantly looking for new ways to treat our fan base, and give them the best we possibly can in TinCaps apparel."
The Orchard team store is open year round Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on the weekends when games are held at Parkview Field.
"My annual trip to baseball's winter meetings allows me to find the latest and most popular gear for our stores back in Fort Wayne, and the constant feedback that we get from fans that either come into the store or email us is so helpful," said Merchandise Manager Karen Schieber.
