Cedar Rapids RoughRiders News Release

Cedar Rapids, Iowa- The start time for the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders' Saturday, December 30 home game against the Green Bay Gamblers has been changed to 7:30PM, the RoughRiders announced today. The game was originally schedule to face off at 7:00PM.

The Riders' game has been pushed back by half an hour in the wake of the last week's announcement that the University of Iowa football team will play in the Alamo Bowl on December 30 at 3:30PM.

"Changing the time of our December 30 game to 7:30 was an easy decision to make," said RoughRiders Vice President Jim Calpin. "This gives our fans the chance to cheer on the Hawkeyes before coming out to our game against Green Bay."

The RoughRiders (11-5-0, 22 points) are currently in second place in the United States Hockey League's East Division, two points behind the division-leading Waterloo Black Hawks. The Riders return to action tonight at 7:05 when they meet the Indiana Ice at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena. The Riders host the Chicago Steel tomorrow evening at 7:05.

Tickets for all remaining RoughRider regular season home games- including this weekend's- are now on sale. Tickets are available for purchase in person at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena ticket office, over the phone at (319) 261-4625 or on line at www.roughridershockey.com. The ticket office is open from noon to 5:00PM on weekdays and from noon through the end of the second period on game days. Ticket prices range from $7 to $17 in advance and from $8 to $18 on game days.
