PORTLAND, Ore. - Facing a quick turnaround, the Portland Timbers travel for a road match against the Montreal Impact in a midweek match on Wednesday, June 26, at Stade Saputo; kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. (Pacific). The Timbers then return to Providence Park to play host to FC Dallas, in a match presented by Danner Boots, on Sunday, June 30; kickoff is set for 8 p.m. (Pacific). Both matches feature a television broadcast on FOX 12 (KPTV) with local radio broadcasts on 1029 and 750 The Game (English) and La GranD 1150AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).

Recent form

With a 4-0 win against the Houston Dynamo on June 22, Portland (5-7-2, 17pts) has won three consecutive matches in all competitions. During that span, the Timbers have outscored their opponents 10-1, posting back-to-back shutouts with 4-0 wins. Individually, Brian Fernandez tied an MLS record by scoring in his fourth consecutive league match to begin his Timbers career. Fernandez now has tallied a goal in six consecutive matches across all competitions, recording eight goals total between league play (5) and the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup (3). Additionally, Fernandez is the first Timbers player, across all eras, to score in his first six matches for the club.

Against Montreal

Wednesday's match marks the eighth meeting all-time between Portland and Montreal (8-7-3, 27pts) in MLS. The Timbers have earned two wins against the Impact in the all-time series, with both wins coming on the road. In the last meeting between the two sides, Portland and Montreal played to a 2-2 draw at Providence Park on July 21, 2018, as Diego Valeri recorded a goal in the 65th minute to help the Timbers secure the draw.

Against FC Dallas

Portland and FC Dallas square off for the second time this season after FC Dallas (7-6-4, 25pts) recorded a 2-1 win at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, on April 13. Sunday's match marks the 22nd meeting all-time between the Timbers and FC Dallas. Portland has posted a record of 5-1-3 in regular-season contests against FC Dallas at Providence Park, with the Timbers recording a shutout in each of their last two matches against FC Dallas at home.

Next match

Following this week's matches, the Timbers travel for a road match against New York City FC on Sunday, July 7, at Yankee Stadium. Beginning at 3:30 p.m. (Pacific), the match will be broadcast on FS1 with local radio broadcasts on 1029 and 750 The Game (English) and La GranD 1150AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).
