Portland Timbers News Release
The Portland Timbers will square off against expansion-side St. Louis CITY SC tonight, April 29, at CITYPARK. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. (Pacific) and will be streamed live on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app in English and Spanish as well as local radio broadcasts, 750 The Game (English) and La GranD 1150AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).
Tonight's match marks the second time Portland and St. Louis will square off in MLS regular season play since the expansion team joined in 2023. It is the first time the Timbers will play at CITYPARK. The last time the two met on March 11, 2023, Portland fell to St. Louis in a 2-1 battle at Providence Park, with Zac McGraw scoring the lone goal for the Timbers. The match will be the second in a four-day span after Portland downed Orange County SC 3-1 in the third round of 2023 Lamar U.S. Open Cup at Providence Park. This regular season, nine different players have tallied Portland's 11 goals through nine matches (Asprilla, Boli, Evander, Fogaça, Ikoba, McGraw, Mosquera, Niezgoda, Paredes). The Timbers have the second-most goal scorers (9) in the league this season, trailing only the Columbus Crew (10).
