SEATTLE, WASH. - Following a 1-0 win over Minnesota United FC last weekend and a 5-4 victory over San Diego Loyal SC on Wednesday in the Third Round of the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, Seattle Sounders FC hits the road to take on Real Salt Lake on Saturday, April 29 at America First Field (6:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, 950 KJR AM, El Rey 1360 AM).
Real Salt Lake and Seattle have already met once this year on March 4 on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field, with Sounders FC winning 2-0. Seattle only has one regular-season win at America First Field, a 2-1 result on May 28, 2011. The club is winless in its other 14 road matches against RSL in regular season play, but is 1-1-0 in the postseason.
Following the matchup against RSL, Seattle returns home to take on Sporting Kansas City for the second time this year on Sunday, May 7 at Lumen Field (1:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, FOX, iHeartMedia, El Rey 1360 AM).
