
Timbers Square off against San Jose Earthquakes in Midweek Matchup Tonight

Playing their second match in a four-day span, the Portland Timbers will face the San Jose Earthquakes for a midweek matchup tonight, May 15 at Providence Park. The match is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific) with a live stream on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app in English and Spanish with local radio broadcasts on 750 The Game (English) and La GranD 1150AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).
The Timbers are looking to maintain a historic record when they face off against the Earthquakes for the first time tonight. Portland is 17-6-10 all-time against San Jose and unbeaten in 10 of their last 11 matchups (7-1-3). Their 17 wins against the Earthquakes are their most against any opponent since joining MLS in 2011. In regular-season play, the Timbers boast an unbeaten mark of 13-0- 4 when hosting the Earthquakes at Providence Park and have won 11 of their last 12 home matches against the Earthquakes. Portland is unbeaten in 20 straight home matches against San Jose in all competitions (16-0-4) dating back to September 2011, the second-longest home unbeaten run by one MLS team against another in all competitions. Entering Matchday 14, the Timbers have scored 21 goals through 12 games, which is third most in the West behind the Galaxy (23) and LAFC (22), and fourth most in the league behind Miami (35). The Timbers have found the back of the net in 10 of their 12 matches this year, including all five home matches at Providence Park. Felipe Mora leads Portland in goals with five, while Evander has four and Antony and Santiago Moreno have three each. Eight Timbers have scored at least one goal this season, while five have recorded two or more.
