
Timbers Kick off 2023 Preseason January 6

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers announced their full 2023 preseason schedule today, presented by Old Trapper Beef Jerky. Ahead of its 13th MLS season, Portland is set to begin its preseason on Jan. 6 at the Timbers Training Facility as players report to training camp.
The Timbers will travel to Phoenix, Ariz. from Jan. 15 - 21. Portland is scheduled to play a friendly preseason match vs. Sporting Kansas City on Jan. 21 at Phoenix Rising FC Soccer Complex; kickoff is set for 11 a.m. (Pacific). The match will not be open to the public.
Portland will close out the preseason playing in the 2023 Coachella Valley Invitational from Feb. 6 - 18 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., alongside 11 other MLS teams. The Timbers will kick off the tournament against LA Galaxy on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 10:30 a.m. (Pacific) before facing Toronto FC for a midweek match on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. (Pacific). In its last match of the tournament, Portland will take on New York City FC on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 12 p.m. (Pacific). The second annual invitational will be open to fans with tickets on sale at www.CoachellaValleyInvitational.com.
The Timbers will kick off their 34-game 2023 MLS regular-season against Sporting Kansas City on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Providence Park with a 7:30 p.m. (Pacific). All Timbers and MLS matches will be streamed live through the Apple TV app on Apple devices, smart TVs, streaming devices, set-top boxes, and game consoles, and the web at tv.apple.com.
