
Timbers Extend Unbeaten Run to Five with 3-0 Road Win over Seattle Sounders FC

SEATTLE, Wash. - The Portland Timbers extended their unbeaten streak to five games after downing Seattle Sounders FC in a 3-0 shutout win at Lumen Field on Saturday afternoon. Jaroslaw Niezgoda, Santiago Moreno and Dairon Asprilla each notched goals to give Portland the edge while Sebastián Blanco, Yimmi Chara, Moreno and Niezgoda all tallied an assist today. Notably, Portland is unbeaten in its last seven regular season matches at Lumen Field with a mark of 5-0-2.
Streaks in Seattle
Today's match was the 33rd match between Portland and Seattle in MLS era (12-14-7) and 115th in the two sides' all-time series. The Timbers are unbeaten in seven straight regular season matches at Seattle (W5, D2), the longest streak by any team at Lumen Field in MLS history. Notably, all of Portland's wins at Lumen Field have come under the helm of head coach Giovanni Savarese, who has a record of 5-0-1 at Lumen Field, dating back to May 13, 2018.

POR - Dairon Asprilla (Jaroslaw Niezgoda, Santiago Moreno), 85th minute: From the left side of the field, Moreno cut in and drove a right-footed long ball into the 18-yard box for Niezgoda, who cut a pass back towards the penalty spot.
