March 30, 2015 - NBA G League (G League)
Maine Celtics News Release
PORTLAND - March 30, 2015 - The NBA Development League announced today that Maine Red Claws point guard Tim Frazier has been named league Performer of the Week for the week ending on March 29. This is the third time this season Frazier has received Performer of the Week honors, winning for the week ending Dec. 7 and Jan. 5 as well. He is the first Red Claws player to ever receive Performer of the Week honors three times in a season.
Frazier led the Red Claws to a 3-0 week. In the three games, he averaged 20.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 7.7 assists. Frazier scored a game-high 30 points Wednesday at Erie, with 16 of those points coming in the fourth quarter, including the game-tying shot and the go-ahead free throws. He also added 8 rebounds and 5 assists.
On Friday vs. Westchester, Frazier scored 16 points while holding Knicks guards to just four points in the second half. Maine erased a 21-point deficit to win the game. Maine locked up the top spot in the Eastern Conference with the win.
On Sunday vs. Grand Rapids, Frazier fell two rebounds shy of a triple-double, with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 14 assists. That included the assist on the game-winning basket with :02.1 remaining in a wild comeback win.
Frazier has recorded four triple-doubles this season, a Red Claws record and most in the D-League this season.
The playoff-bound Red Claws play three more games on the road, including Wednesday night at Canton, before the playoffs begin. A playoff schedule will be announced next Monday.
