March 30, 2015 - NBA G League (G League) News Release
NEW YORK, March 30, 2015 - Maine Red Claws guard Tim Frazier was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, March 23 - Sunday, March 29. This is the third Performer of the Week honor for Frazier this season.
Frazier's Red Claws went 3-0 last week, clinching the Atlantic Division and the first overall seed in the Eastern Conference. During the week, he averaged 20.3 points on 48.9 percent shooting (22-for-45), to go along with 7.7 assists, 7.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals.
Frazier (6-1, 170, Penn State) was a perfect 11-for-11 from the line last week, including hitting the go-ahead and game-winning free throws on March 25, when Maine defeated the Erie BayHawks 116-114. Two days later, he scored 21 points to help his team overcome a 21-point deficit as his Red Claws defeated the Westchester Knicks. He finished the week with a 15-point, 14-assist double-double against Grand Rapids on March 29, in which, with 2.1 seconds to play, he found Omari Johnson who hit a jumper to give Maine a 108-107 victory over the Drive.
This season, Frazier is averaging 16.1 points, 9.5 assists (second in the league), and 7.1 rebounds.
Other top performers considered included Bakersfield's Jerel McNeal, Fort Wayne's Jordan Crawford, Iowa's Jarnell Stokes, Reno's Dar Tucker, Rio Grande Valley's Glen Rice, Jr., and Texas' Jarrid Famous.
