Medicine Hat, AB -- The Medicine Hat Tigers played three games the past week as they looked to stop their losing streak. Medicine Hat played hard, including a tough opponent in the Red Deer Rebels.

THE WEEK THAT WAS
Tuesday, February 9th - 7-1 Loss vs. Saskatoon: Max Gerlach scored his team leading 24th of the season as the lone goal for the Tigers. Medicine Hat used affiliate players Gary Haden and Dylan MacPherson to fill roster spots as Ty Stanton was out for a 1 game suspension. Nick Schneider stopped 30 of 37 shots on the night.
Wednesday, February 10th - 4-1 Loss at Red Deer: Medicine Hat looked to avoid the season series sweep at the hands of the Rebels. They played a good second and third periods but a Adam Helewka natural hat trick in the middle period had the Tabbies trailing. Steven Owre would break the shutout with just over 20 seconds left in the game for his 14th of the season, a power play goal.
Saturday, February 13th - 4-1 Loss at Swift Current: In their only game of the family long weekend in Alberta the Broncos and Tigers mixed it up in a gritty affair. Clayton Kirichenko and Nick Heid both dropped the mitts in the game. Steven Owre scored the lone goal in the game once again as Nick Schneider made 36 saves in the game.
THIS WEEK'S GAME SCHEDULE
Friday, February 19th - 7:30pm vs. Calgary: Medicine Hat hosts the Calgary Hitmen for their first home game in over a week as the Alberta Winter Games vacated the Canalta Centre. This is the first meeting since December 18/19 weekend between the two clubs as the Tabbies tooka 7-5 victory last time out. Since then the Hitmen made significant trades at the deadline to lend some support to their offense. Medicine Hat will look to get back in the win column in front of the hometown faithful.
Saturday, February 20th - 7:30pm vs. Portland: The only time these two clubs will meet this season takes place Saturday at the Canalta Centre. Portland is the last remaining club to visit the Tigers new home as they play game 2 of a week long road trip through the Central Division. Medicine Hat is 1-3-0-0 over the past 5 seasons vs. Portland and 1-1-0-0 at home.
Sunday, February 21st - 4:00pm at. Calgary: The Tabbies finish their 3 in 3 weekend with another date with Calgary at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The quick turnaround will test the Tigers stamina. Medicine Hat is 7-6-0-0 in the Stampede City over the past 5 seasons.
