Tigers Partner with ATB Financial on Hockey Broadcast

Medicine Hat, AB - Medicine Hat Tigers are pleased to announce a new association with ATB Financial for the upcoming 2009-10 WHL season.

ATB Financial has agreed to become the title sponsor of the Tigers radio broadcasts on CHAT 94.5 FM. The broadcast will be known as "ATB Financial Tigers Hockey on the Tigers Hockey Network".

"We are very pleased to be have ATB Financial partnering with the Medicine Hat Tigers," said Dave Andjelic, Tigers' director of marketing and public relations.

"ATB Financial has a strong presence in Medicine Hat and is well known throughout Alberta. We believe our two organizations share much in common in our approach of being part of the community. This was important to us when bringing a partner on board for this high profile association."

"The Tigers have been bringing excitement and excellence to Alberta's Orange County for 40 years, and we've supported Medicine Hat with ATB Blue for more than 70. It's two great partners with strong Alberta roots and values working together," said Rob Smith, ATB Financial's vice-president, south region.

"We like to think our commitment to communities like Medicine Hat is what sets us apart. We don't want to just be the bank down at the corner or in the mall. We want to be a real part of this community."

The inaugural ATB Financial Tigers Hockey Broadcast will take place when the Tigers take on the Lethbridge Hurricanes in the Tiger's 40th home opener on Saturday, September 19th. The broadcast will begin at 7:00 p.m. with the legendary voice of the Tigers, Bob Ridley.

The Tigers host their only home game of the exhibition season this Saturday night when the Swift Current Broncos visit The Arena for a 7:30 p.m. contest. The special charity game will support the Medicine Hat Regional Hospice Palliative Care Society in their quest to build a hospice in Medicine Hat. Ticket are $10.00 each for rush seats. All proceed from ticket and 50-50 sales will go directly to the hospice society. Fans are encourage to pick up their tickets at the Tigers box office in The Arena to watch exciting WHL hockey action and support their community at the same time. The box office is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily.
