Brandon, Manitoba -- Friday is Season Ticket Pick-up Day at the Keystone Centre as preparations continue for what should be a memorable 2009-10 Western Hockey League season for the Brandon Wheat Kings.
Wheat Kings' Season Ticket holders are encouraged to come out to the Keystone Centre (South Parking Lot) on Friday - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to pick up their 2009-10 Season Tickets and VIP Cards.
In addition to picking up their tickets, fans can order their 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup ticket packages - if they haven't already done so. As well, the WHL club will be selling their new Edge Reebok jerseys that were unveiled to the media and the general public on Wednesday.
Fans attending can also enter to win a number of terrific prizes including a Wheat Kings' replica jersey.
Western Manitoba hockey fans that haven't purchased a season ticket yet, are urged to stop by and check out seat availability for the upcoming season.
Special Events vehicles from both 880 CKLQ and 94.7 Star FM will be on hand throughout the day.
Capping off what will be an exciting day for western Manitoba hockey fans will be the Wheat Kings second and final pre-season home game of the year against the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors. Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are on sale now at the Keystone Centre box office (Pioneer Lounge), by calling 726-3555 or online at ticketmaster.ca
The Wheat Kings will bring the curtain up on the 2009-10 regular season one week from tomorrow against the Raiders in Prince Albert. Brandon's Home Opener, presented by the Brandon Sun will be on Friday, September 25th against the visiting Swift Current Broncos. Tickets to the Coca Cola Home Opener are also on sale now.
