Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release
Hamilton, Ontario - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club announced today the team has re-signed tackle Jonta Woodard to a one year (plus an option) contract. Woodard will enter his second CFL season with the Black and Gold after a successful rookie campaign in 2004.
"We were pleased with Jonta's exceptional rookie season," said Ticats head coach Greg Marshall. "We're expecting him to continue to develop this year and solidify our left tackle position for a long time."
Woodard signed with the Ticats on May 10th, 2004 after attending an open try-out. The 6'5", 325-pound offensive tackle made an immediate impact in his rookie season by starting all 18 games.
