Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release

Robert F. (Bob) Young, a prominent Hamilton native and successful technology entrepreneur, is now the official owner of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats! The deal to purchase the storied Canadian Football League franchise closed late yesterday afternoon. Mr Young reiterated his earlier pledge to "make the Hamilton Tiger-Cats the most entertaining team in the CFL!" Added the energetic Young, "we're committed now. The New Ticats are going to succeed if only because we are not going to accept the hand we've been dealt." With his sights set squarely on the 2004 season Young was quick to promise "no way are we going 1 and 17 next year!"

Young is off to the Grey Cup in Regina, Saskatchewan this weekend to attend his first CFL Governors meeting and also plans on taking in the 91st Grey Cup Classic between the Edmonton Eskimos and Montreal Alouettes on Sunday.
