OTTAWA – The Ottawa Renegades are pleased to announce that placekicker Lawrence Tynes has been named to the 2003 Canadian Football League All-Star Team.

Tynes, a 25-year-old native of Greenock, Scotland, set an Ottawa professional football record by kicking 51 field goals during the 2003 season. He also shared the league's scoring title (with Troy Westwood of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers) with 198 points.

Tynes completed 51 of 62 field goal attempts, finishing second in the league (behind Paul McCallum of the Saskatchewan Roughriders) with an 82.3 field goal percentage.

The selection of Tynes marks the second time a Renegades player has garnered an all-star position. Linebacker John Grace was named to the 2002 all-star squad.
