Tiger-Cats Lead East with Eleven Division All-Star Selections

The Canadian Football League announced Wednesday, the correct East and West Division All-Star lists after the league announced an error in tabulation and weighting of votes resulted in incorrected Division All-Stars being announced earlier this afternoon.

A league (tie-Calgary) and east division high 11 Tiger-Cats were named Division All-Stars, including receivers Tim White and Steven Dunbar Jr., guard Brandon Revenberg, defensive linemen Julian Howsare and Micah Johnson, linebackers Jovan Santos-Knox and Kam Kelly, defensive backs Jumal Rolle, Richard Leonard and Tunde Adeleke and Placekicker Seth Small.

*Numbers in parentheses indicate number of career divisional all-star selections.

Tim White - WR (2)

White, 28, received his second consecutive East Division All-Star selection after suiting up in 17 games this season. The 5-10, 185-pound native of Santa Clarita, California led the Tiger-Cats in receptions (94), receiving yards (1,265) and receiving touchdowns (8). His 94 receptions led the league while his 1,265 receiving yards and eight receiving touchdowns were good enough for fourth and sixth respectively. White was also named Hamilton's Most Outstanding Player for the first time in his career and named a CFL Top Performer of the Week twice (Weeks 11 and 19).

Steven Dunbar Jr. - WR (1)

Dunbar Jr., 26, earned his first career East Division All-Star selection after an impressive sophomore season in the CFL. The 6'3, 202-pound native of New Orleans, Louisiana finished second on the team in receiving yards (1,000), receptions (72) and receiving touchdowns (6). Dunbar also ranked inside the top-10 in all three categories league-wide including finishing eighth in receptions and touchdowns, whole his 1,000 receiving yards was placed him 10th in the league.

Brandon Revenberg - OG (4)

Revenberg, 29, earned his fourth consecutive East Division All-Star selection after starting 17 games at left guard for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The 6'4, 301-pound native of Essex, Ontario was also named the East Division's Most Outstanding lineman for the second consecutive season and third time in his career, previously earning the award in 2021 and 2018.

Julian Howsare - DE (1)

Howsare, 30, received his first career East Division All-Star selection after starting 16 games at defensive end for the Tiger-Cats. The 6'3, 255-pound native of Altoona, Pennsylvania registered 31 total tackles, including 30 defensive tackles, two tackles for loss, a team-leading seven quarterback sacks (tie, two others), two interceptions and one pass knockdown.

Micah Johnson - DT (5)

Johnson, 34, earned his fifth career Division All-Star selection and his first career East Division All-Star selection after previously being named a West Division All-Star on four occasions (2016-18, 21). The 6'2, 278-pound native of Columbus, Georgia started 16 games for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and led the team with five tackles for loss (tie, three others) and seven quarterback sacks (tie, two others) while also registering 24 total tackles, one pass knockdown, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Jovan Santos-Knox - LB (1)

Santos-Knox, 28, earned his first career Division All-Star nomination after starting 17 games at middle linebacker for the Tiger-Cats this season. The 6'2, 233-pound native of Waterbury, Connecticut registered a team-leading 105 total tackles, two tackles for loss, one quarterback sack, four pass knockdowns and one interception and was named Hamilton's Most Outstanding Defensive Player for the first time in his career.

Kam Kelly - CLB (1)

Kelly, 26, received his first career Division All-Star selection after starting all 18 games at SAM linebacker for the Ticats. The 6'2, 205-pound native of Round Rock, Texas had a stellar sophomore campaign in black and gold, posting a team-leading five interceptions while also registering 50 total tackles, including 49 defensive tackles, two tackles for loss, two quarterback sacks, and five pass knockdowns. Kelly's five interceptions place him second in the CFL.

Jumal Rolle - (2)

Rolle, 32, earned his second-consecutive East Division All-Star nomination after receiving the honours for the first time in his career last season. The 6'0, 190-pound native of Wilson, North Carolina started 16 games at cornerback for the Ticats, registering 35 total tackles, six pass knockdowns and two interceptions.

Richard Leonard - (3)

Leonard, 31, received his third career East Division All-Star selection after previously earning the honours twice with the Ticats (2017, 19'). The 5'8, 173-pound native of Miami, Florida started all 18 games for the Ticats at defensive half back, registering a team-leading five tackles for loss (tie, three others) while also posting 66 total tackles, including 65 defensive tackles, one quarterback sack, one forced fumble, four interceptions and eight pass knockdowns. Leonard was named a CFL Top Performer of the Month in October and was named the league's Top Performer for week 19.

Tunde Adeleke - S (3)

Adeleke, 27, was named a East Division All-Star for the third consecutive season after starting all 18 games at free safety for the Tiger-Cats. The 5'10, 208-pound defensive back registered 70 total tackles, including 68 defensive tackles, one quarterback sack, eight pass knockdowns, one interception and one forced fumble. Adeleke, who was born in Lagos, Nigeria but raised in Ottawa, Ontario was also named the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Most Outstanding Canadian earlier this season.

Seth Small - (1)

Small, 23, received his first East Division All-Star nomination in his rookie season north of the border. The 5'11, 205-pound native of Katy, Texas produced the most accurate field goal kicking season in Tiger-Cats' franchise history (minimum 40 attempts), converting 39 of his 43 field goal attempts (90.7%). He also converted 26 of his 27 convert attempts (96.3%) and matched a Tiger-Cats franchise record with his 58-yard field goal at Toronto on August 26th. Small was also named the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Most Outstanding Special Teams Player and the team's Most Outstanding Rookie.
