November 2, 2022 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Montreal Alouettes News Release
Montreal - The Canadian Football League announced its 2022 Division All-Stars on Wednesday, and receiver Eugene Lewis, along with defensive back Wesley Sutton from the Montreal Alouettes were selected to the Eastern squad.
Eugene Lewis - Wide Receiver (3rd selection)
East Division All Star: 2019, 2021, 2022
This marks the third straight selection for the 29-year-old receiver, who was the Alouettes most sought after target in 2022, catching 91 passes for 1,303 yards, which allowed him to finish in third place in the CFL. The former University of Oklahoma standout also caught ten touchdown passes. Lewis was consistent throughout the season, even if he caught passes from two different quarterbacks, as he registered five games with more than 100 receiving yards, on top of maintaining a 14.3 yards per catch.
Najee Murray - Defensive Back (1st selection)
East Division All Star: 2022
Murray recorded 40 defensive tackles this past season. The 28-year-old also registered one sack and one interception, on top of knocking down five passes in only 13 games.
Divisional All-Stars were chosen by Football Reporters of Canada (FRC) members as well as CFL head coaches.
