Tickets Still Available for Thanksgiving Day Classic

(Calgary) - The Thanksgiving Day Classic presented by Scotiabank is only a few days away and the Calgary Stampeder Football Club is encouraging fans to purchase their tickets fast, with only a few thousand seats remaining including tickets in the non-alcohol, Pizza Hut Family Fun Zone.

A sell-out is expected as the last three contests featuring the Stamps and Riders, including two regular season and one playoff match-up have sold out. Fans interested in attending the game should call the Stampeder Ticket Office immediately at (403) 289-0258 or go online to www.Stampeders.com for ticket information.

Kick-off is set for 2pm on October 8th with the teams facing each other for the third and final time this regular season. The Stamps are 1-1 versus the Riders this year, winning the last contest, 44-22 at home on September 15th. The match-up has major playoff implications for both clubs, with the Riders currently sitting in second in the Western Division, three points up on the Stampeders.

Also featured at the Thanksgiving Day Classic will be a half-time ceremony honouring recent CFL Hall of Fame inductee, Rocco Romano. Come show your support for one of the Stampeders' all-time greats!
