Tickets on sale now for first ever football game at Clipper Magazine Stadium

Clipper Magazine Stadium will play host an NAFL football game between the Lancaster Lightning and the South-Central Yard Dogs on Sept. 9. The game will be the first-ever football game played in Prince Street stadium since it was built in 2005.

General admission tickets are on sale now for the game at the Clipper Magazine Stadium box office, www.lancasterbarnstormers.com or www.lancasterlightning.com. Group specials have been announced for prime seating in the Coors Light Pavilion and in the stadium's Wheatland Suite that will include buffet meals and giveaways.

Clipper Magazine Stadium, home to Lancaster Barnstormers baseball, is a multi-purpose facility. The dimensions of the field allow for other sporting events including football, soccer, lacrosse and marching band competitions.

"We're looking forward to bringing football to Clipper Magazine Stadium," said Barnstormers General Manager Joe Pinto. "This stadium is a year-round venue for family entertainment and we hope this game, along with our concerts and other events will help bring even more people-young and old-to this great stadium."

The Lancaster Lightning and South-Central Yard Dogs are teams in the North American Football League. The league has more than 103 teams in markets ranging in size from Philadelphia to Lancaster and Harrisburg to Steelton. The South-Central Yard Dogs, based in Steelton, Pa., are in their first year of play.

Kickoff between the Lightning and the Yard Dogs on Sept. 9 is scheduled for 7 p.m.
