Tickets on Sale for Preseason Game at Augusta

PORTLAND, ME - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Quirk Chevrolet, today announced that they will play their only 2010-11 preseason game on November 15 at the Augusta Civic Center. The announcement was made by Red Claws President and General Manager Jon Jennings in the Kennebec Journal this morning.
"The Red Claws have had tremendous support from the Augusta area, and we are thrilled to be making a return trip to the state capital," Jennings said. "We had a great season in our first year, and it all began in Augusta. We are looking forward to launching our second season there."
Tickets for the November 15 preseason game vs. the Springfield Armor are now on sale and are available at the Augusta Civic Center Box Office, online at ticketmaster.com or by phone by calling (207) 626-2400. The Augusta Civic Center Box Office is open 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Ticket prices range from just $5 for upper bleacher seats to $30 for courtside seats. The game will feature performances by the Lady Red Claws dance team as well as popular Red Claws on-court MC "JG" and Maine's only basketball playing crustacean, Crusher.
The game will kick off the Red Claws' second season following a successful inaugural season that saw the team tie a league record for wins by an expansion team (27) and become the first to sellout their entire home schedule. The team will open the regular season on Friday, November 19 with the first of back-to-back games against the Austin Toros.
MAINE RED CLAWS: 2009-10 marked the inaugural season for the Maine Red Claws. The NBA D-League team plays its home games at the Portland Expo Building. The franchise is owned and operated by Maine Basketball, LLC, which is principally owned by Bill Ryan Sr., the retired chairman of TD Bank, and Bill Ryan Jr., owner and operator of Oxford Plains Speedway. Jon Jennings, a partner in Maine Basketball, LLC and former Boston Celtics assistant coach, serves as the team's president and general manager.
