Spokane Chiefs News Release

Tickets remain for the Spokane Chiefs versus Tri-City Americans game, Washington Army National Guard Buck Night and CheerStix Giveaway, on Saturday night in the Spokane Arena. The Chiefs will honor members of the military by wearing specially designed jerseys that will be auctioned off throughout the games.

Military members and veterans can receive the group rate on Saturday night by calling the Chiefs office at (509) 535-PUCK (7825).

The Spokane Arena will also have banners hung on the main concourse from Washington's Fallen Heroes, a non-profit organization that produces life size banners for each service member from Washington state who has lost their life while servicing our country. The 60 banners that will be hung this weekend will represent service members from Eastern Washington.

The banner project was started in 2007 by Spokane Gold Star Families in an effort to honor all of Washington's Fallen Heroes. This local non-profit organization has a goal to make a life size banner for each service member from Washington state who have lost their lives.

The banners hung in the Arena will represent the young men and women who have given the ultimate sacrifice during the current Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. The banners are in high demand all over the state and have been displayed in parades and various events everywhere. There are at present over 200 banners that have been made, and several hundred more to be done. For more information go to WashingtonsFallenHeroes.org dCdTmPR6CJ).

The first 5,000 fans through the gates and all full season ticket holders in attendance will receive a pair of CheerStix. $1 hot dogs, popcorn and Coca-Cola products will be available throughout the night.
