
Ticats Release 2005 Promotional Schedule

Hamilton, Ontario -- The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have unveiled their promotional schedule, promising that every game will be a big game at Ivor Wynne Stadium in 2005.
"Every Tiger-Cats football game is a fun event at Ivor Wynne Stadium," said Ticats owner Bob Young. "Our fans have been using the forums at www.ticats.ca to let us know which promotions they enjoyed last season and to give us some ideas to use this year. We have selected the best of these to ensure that every visit to Ivor Wynne Stadium will guarantee a memorable time for everyone."
Keeping in mind that every trip to Ivor Wynne Stadium will be jammed will excitement, the Ticats will offer the following promotions at each and every home game this season:
- Airplane flyovers courtesy of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum
- A 125' x 250' Canadian Flag unveiled by Air Cadets
- Canada's most popular VJ Rick Campanelli returning as in-game host
- New Fan Performance Team presented by Pioneer Petroleum
- Pepsi Pre-game party with the Bud Big Rig, live bands, the Grey Cup and other fan displays.
- New and improved East Side Mario's La La Lineup books to the first 15,000 fans
- An expanded Cheerleading line-up
- The 2005 Ticats Cheerleaders presented by KingsGate Wealth Management lead by new coach Lesley Stewart
- McMaster Cheerleading Squad will help cheer on the Black and Gold
- The new Tiger-Cats Junior Cheer squad presented by Pure Energy Dance Studios
- Flowers to the first 500 women at each game courtesy of Wear's Flowers
- The Burlington Teen Tour Band performing at eight games
Ticats fans are also in for plenty of special promotions throughout the 2005 season. Highlights for this season include:
Doubleheaders:
- The Cookie Bowl Doubleheader â One ticket gets you into two football games! On September 17th, the McMaster Marauders kick off against the Western Mustangs at 2:30p.m. followed by the Tiger-Cats game versus the Calgary Stampeders at 7:00p.m.
- The Movie Doubleheader â 'Rudy' will be in Hamilton for a special movie night at Ivor Wynne Stadium on July 23rd. Fans will have the opportunity to watch Rudy on the Dofasco TigerVision and hear from the star of the movie, Daniel E. "Rudy" Ruettiger. The event begins at 2:00p.m. before the Ticats host the B.C. Lions at 7:00p.m.
Tributes:
- Greg Marshall "2004 CFL Coach of the Year" â Join the Tiger-Cats in recognizing Coach Marshall's accomplishments on July 2nd. The first 3,000 fans will receive a "Greg Marshall on a Stick," displaying the many faces of Hamilton's fearless leader!
- "Happy 75th Birthday" Ivor Wynne Stadium â A tribute to ¾ of a century of events at Ivor Wynne Stadium on August 26th.
- Carl Coulter Night â The Ticats celebrate the career of 15-year CFL veteran Carl Coulter at their pre-season game on June 17th.
Old Favourites:
- Second Chance Night at the Labour Day Classic â After their now-infamous attempt to land on the turf at Ivor Wynne Stadium last season, the Skyhawks return for an encore parachute exhibition on September 5th to benefit the Trillium Gift of Life Network and the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
- Canadian Football Hall of Fame Game â On September 30th, the latest inductees to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame will be honoured at halftime.
- Tiger-Cats Wall of Honour Ceremony â The Ticats will recognize the newest member of their Wall of Honour on November 4th.
- Kids Run the Ticats Day â Hamilton area kids take over operation of the Ticats on July 23rd courtesy of the Hamilton Spectator
Celebrating Young Athletes:
- CANUSA Games Celebration â Athletes will participate in a pre-game ceremony
- Special Olympics Night â Special Olympians will be recognized in a pre-game event prior to kickoff at the June 17th exhibition game.

- Fans can now buy their single game parking passes in advance through any Ticats sales outlet
- New Shuttle Service â Catch free shuttles to Ivor Wynne from Limeridge, Gore Park and Eastgate Square courtesy of HSR
- Your ticket to ride â Show your Ticats ticket and receive a free ride to and from the game on the Hamilton Street Railway.
Technology:
- Ivor Wynne Stadium will once again be WIFI
- The Cyber Café is back presented by Rolling Thunder
Great Deal for Kids and Families:
