Coastal Bend Thunder News Release
June 26, 2008 - Robstown, TX - Former Moody star, Alfred Joseph was acquired by the Coastal Bend Thunder in a trade with the Rio Grande Valley White Wing for a player to be named later. Joseph played on Moody's 2004 5A championship team and was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 2004 amateur entry draft.
"Were real excited to have him," said Thunder GM C.J. Bauer. "I met him during our first road trip to Harlingen this year. He came over and introduced himself and told me he went to Moody and would love to come home to play. I watched him that night and he was making plays. I went out after the game with Eddie Dennis (White Wings manager), whom I've known for 20 years, and told him I wanted his right fielder. Eddie and Al agreed on terms and he's coming to the Thunder."
Joseph was 12-for-42 (.286) with three doubles and six RBI for the White Wings this season. He was 1-for-4 in stolen base attempts. He will be in uniform Sunday night when the Thunder take on the Amarillo Dillas at 6:05 at Fairgrounds Field.
