Coastal Bend Thunder Releases 2010 Schedule

Coastal Bend Thunder News Release


The Coastal Bend Thunder is excited to release the 2010 schedule for the upcoming season. The Coastal Bend Thunder will be playing a total of 93 regular season games with 48 of those being at the home. The season starts on May 27th and ends on August 30th, with playoff games following in September. Opening Day for the Coastal Bend Thunder is set for Thursdays May 27th playing against the Edinburg Roadrunners for a two game series. The home stand will continue with a four game series against Laredo Broncos.

Several events are planned for the home opener such as fireworks, specials on beverages and music concerts after the games, more details will be released as we get closer to the opener.

The team is starting to materialize with several players starting to show up and workout. Spring training will begin on May 21st with tryouts scheduled for May 22nd. The tryouts are opened to all serious ball players 19 years of age or older (No High School Players). There will be an entry fee of $25.00 for those who are interested, please bring your own baseball equipment and attire.

We are still in need of host families to except players into their homes. The Host Families will provide a room and bed for the players to sleep. They are not responsible for their meals, transportation and may set house rules for the players. The Host Families will receive 2010 Season Tickets for the family.
