BLAZERS EDGE THUNDER- Bryan Forslund broke a 2-2 tie with a third period goal, leading the Blazers to the victory Friday night at the Ford Center. Adam Calder and Chris Low scored goals for the Thunder, while Nathan Grobins suffered his first loss in a Thunder uniform, despite making 29 saves. The two heated rivals combined for 38 penalties.

OILERS KNOCK OFF THUNDER- Rod Branch made 36 saves for the Oilers, in a 5-3 victory at Tulsa on Saturday. Adam Calder and Mark Kolesar led the Thunder with two points each, while Ryan Olynyk scored his first pro goal.

THUNDER BEAT BRAHMAS- Travis Clayton's first goal since November 1st snapped a 2-2 tie and helped the Thunder to a 4-2 victory Sunday in Fort Worth. Adam Calder led the Thunder with two goals and an assist, while Mark Kolesar again added two points. Nathan Grobins moved his record to 2-1-1 in a Thunder uniform, making 31 saves.

ROOKIE REPORT- Anders Strome had three points over the weekend, tying him with Corpus Christi's Ed McGrane for the rookie scoring lead, with 21 points. With 17 points, Peter Runkel now ranks third among all CHL defensemen, with 17 points. Runkel leads the Thunder with a +8 rating. Rookie Ryan Olynyk leads the CHL with 13 majors and is fourth in the CHL with 101 penalty minutes.

COMING AND GOING- The Thunder added defenseman Rico Fatticci today and placed forward Tyler Deis on the suspended list. Fatticci (fuh-TEE-chee) joins the Thunder from the ECHL's Greenville Grrrowl where he had an assist and 11 penalty minutes in 11 games. Fatticci led all Greenville defensemen last season with 12 points. Deis meanwhile, returned to Greenville to be with his wife, who is expecting their second child within the next two weeks. The Thunder could get good news, as injured forwards Jason Duda and Trevor Allman have been upgraded to questionable for this weekend. Defenseman Chad Mazurak is eyeing a mid-December return.

THUNDERBOLTS- The Thunder are collecting new, unwrapped toys, coats and food items this week to benefit Toys for Tots and Operation Holiday. All fans who bring a donation to the Thunder office can get two free tickets to this Friday's game, courtesy of A-OK Pawn Shop and Western Uniform and Towel Service...The Thunder rank second in the CHL with 21 PP goals...Wichita is still second in the CHL, allowing 27.79 shots per game...Adam Calder has a goal in four straight games...Mark Kolesar is sixth in the CHL with 26 points...Nathan Grobins is 2-1-1 with a 2.21 goals against average and a .933 save percentage since joining the Thunder.
